Realities from addiction as an addict

I chose to do addiction and how it effects the brain and body. In this case I got first hand experience of how it effects on of my friends who has been dipping tobacco, which contains nicotine ,for about 5 years. In this I asked him about symptoms that come from dipping as well as symptoms of when he tried to quit. It's insane how average this is among many of my friends as well as people I see in everyday life. In the interview you can see that the symptoms that come with this are real and do have an effect on everyday life. It is hard for this man to quit because when he does his mood changes as well as his ability to function. This may not seem that crazy about just one individual when you realize that there are many people who have been and are affected by nicotine, it is easy to understand why it is so hard to stop. Not to mention research suggests that those who have a tendency to use nicotine are more likely to develop a tendency to abuse other drugs. I got to experience first hand that my friend had also said he used to abuse alcohol a lot during college. The effects of how hard it is to quit and me gaining first-handed knowledge is enough for me to not ever want to get wrapped in this addiction.
